ZATCA thwarts attempt to smuggle 6.5 million Captagon pills hidden in plus-size tires

RIYADH — The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has thwarted an attempt to smuggle 6,514,674 Captagon pills concealed in a consignment of plus-size tires entering the Kingdom through the Al-Batha border crossing. The pills were found hidden within the cavities of the tires.

ZATCA reiterated its commitment to tightening customs control over the Kingdom’s imports and exports and strengthening its stance against smuggling attempts. This effort is carried out in coordination and collaboration with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to ensure the security and protection of society.
